JJUAN aims to contribute to ensuring that the use of environmental and energy resources, necessary to meet its current needs, is managed responsibly so as not to harm and deprive future generations of these resources.

Pursuing the main objective of creating real value for its stakeholders, JJUAN supports the search for innovative solutions while reducing environmental impact, promoting social and cultural progress and supporting a governance model that makes sustainability, and in particular the environment, a fundamental resource for development.

As a responsible and knowledgeable company, in which the environmental and energy culture has been strongly rooted since the beginning of its history, JJUAN actively participates in the transformation in which everyone, as individuals, as companies, as administrations and governments are called to contribute, to create the environmental conditions that allow a prosperous future for new generations: JJUAN, therefore, is constantly committed to minimizing its environmental impact, with particular attention to CO2 emissions, the rational use of water and energy resources, harmful emissions and waste generation, establishing ambitious environmental and energy objectives for improvement, both in the short-medium term and in the long term, constantly measuring and monitoring, ensuring the necessary resources for their achievement.

JJUAN, in compliance with all legal and other voluntary requirements, is constantly dedicated to the development of its activities in a balance between economic-financial, social, environmental and energy responsibility, working synergistically in five areas of action identified in people, processes, products, supply chain and design.

Sharing with all employees the principles, tools and objectives defined by the management system, so that each person can contribute to achieving the expected results.

Ensuring and protecting the health of the communities surrounding its facilities, preventing any form of contamination and any type of environmental incident and committing to minimising impacts over time.

Ensuring responsibility and transparency in environmental issues for all stakeholders.

PROCESS

As technically and economically sustainable, defining production processes with increasingly strict and innovative environmental requirements, giving priority to CO2 emissions, for which JJUAN wants to achieve long-term neutrality and efficient use of energy, water and minimising wastewater.

PRODUCTS

Understand the environmental impact of products and services throughout their entire life cycle, with the aim of proposing increasingly environmentally friendly solutions to the market, with improvements in the design and environmental and energy performance of the product as an incentive for innovation and a competitive advantage for the company.

Adopt the concepts of “circular economy” in the design phase of products to promote solutions that make available resources that would otherwise be destined as waste.

SUPPLY CHAIN

Consider the supply chain as a system of interconnected actors, which also grows in sustainability and reduces its impact on the environment only if everyone is involved and grows synergistically through paths of continuous improvement and mutual learning, supporting the acquisition of energy-efficient products and services that impact our energy performance.

DESIGN

Support design activities that consider the improvement of environmental and energy performance by applying criteria that improve our life cycle and sustainability.
