Our activity began in 1947 in a small workshop
It all began in 1947 when José Juan started manufacturing bicycle cables, which led to the creation of the company that would bear his name.
In 1965, the J.JUAN brand was officially established and registered as a public limited company. Since then, the company has expanded both nationally and internationally, growing from a well-known brand in Spain to a global leader in braking systems.
In 1980, the company embarked on its international expansion, starting exports worldwide and aligning itself with the best manufacturers.
After two decades of growth, the company entered the 21st century with the opening of its headquarters in Gavá, Barcelona. In 2006, the first international office was established in China, followed by offices in the United States and India in 2012.
By 2023, approximately 1.4 million motorcycles were equipped with J.JUAN hydraulic tubes as standard. Since then, the company’s economic growth and international prestige have surged, solidifying its position as the leading manufacturer worldwide.

In 1947, Don José Juan began his business with a small bicycle cable workshop.
Creation of the company J.JUAN
On December 31, 1965, the company J.JUAN S.A was established with the union of the different workshops located throughout the province of Barcelona.
Inauguration of the Gavà headquarters
J.JUAN inaugurates its main headquarters, with 12,000m2 of surface that houses offices and a manufacturing plant for brake lines and control cable.
Opening of the factory in China
J.JUAN expands around the world and opens a 3,000m2 manufacturing plant and offices in Jiaxing Province, China.
Opening of centers in India and USA
J.JUAN continues to grow and opens technical and commercial offices in Pune and Milwaukee.
50th anniversary
This year marks 50 years since the founding of the company, with more than 600 employees, three production plants and three technical and commercial offices around the world.
Opening of the center in Japan
The opening of the Tokyo office allows the company to work with Japanese motorcycle manufacturing brands.
Brembo acquires J.JUAN
We are part of the Brembo Group, a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of braking systems, with more than 15,000 employees and a presence in 15 countries.

We continue to manufacture and develop brake lines and control cables for leading brands and have more than 650 employees and almost 60 years of history.
