Pons to finish the season with J.Juan Thumbrakes

Pons Racing, one of the teams with a fighting chance at the Moto2 World Championship, will be sporting J.Juan Thumbrake systems from the Silverstone GP on. These thumb brakes have proven very succesful the last couple of years.

The new agreement will allow Aron Canet and Sergio García Dols to better control their rear brakes for the last 12 races. Our Thumbrake allows you to control your rear brake with your left thumb, without conflicting with your rear brake pedal. Sometimes, you tilt your bike to extreme angles, and you get your foot off the pedal, but the thumb can still control the rear brake.

Pons Racing, one of the leading teams in the championship, has been very willing to colaborate with us and improve with our system, which does not replace their current system, but is a complementary safety system for the pilots. With their support, the brake systems by the Catalan firm might improve quite a bit.

Sergio García Dols has raced with our systems since he started his career at the Spanish PreMoto3 Championship, now rebranded to ESBK, just like Aron Canet, who is going to try to win the championship in these last few races.

For Giuseppe Micheletti, “it’s an honor to be able to interact with a Moto2 team like Pons Racing, which is one of the championship’s most iconic teams. We are proud to be one of their technical sponsors”.

Edgar Pons said “everyone in Pons Racing is proud and happy to have J.Juan on their side. They come to us with valuable experience and we can help them improve and develope their products. Also, we celebrate the fact that two firms founded in Barcelona work together and share values at the box and beyond, which make them unstopable.”
